Safety and Comfort on the Slopes Are No Accident: Our Story
Kartal Kayak Evi was founded to find a lasting solution to a problem we had watched on Mount Erciyes for years: long queues at the mountain rental counters on cold mornings, poorly maintained sets that had lost their edge grip, and boots handed out cold and damp. We believe winter sports are a passion too valuable to be spoiled by careless, last-minute rentals.
With this vision, we opened our spacious, fully equipped store with its own parking on the route from Kayseri city center up to Erciyes (Melikgazi). Instead of handing our guests ready-made packages, we built a setup where equipment is refurbished in our own workshop to Wintersteiger standards, bindings are checked and calibrated one by one, and everything is dried with hot air after each use.
What truly sets us apart is how much we value our guests. We look after the safety and satisfaction of every skier who walks through our door as if they were family. On the slopes, you should be in control of your skis, not the snow conditions. We personally prepare every set in our fleet using professional service technology and craftsman-level care:
Wintersteiger Base and Edge Service
Our sets are serviced with Austrian Wintersteiger equipment and consumables. An 88-89° edge sharpening that prevents skidding on icy snow, smooth P-Tex base repair and hot wax give you maximum control.
Pre-Season Mechanical Service and DIN Calibration
At the start of every season, bindings are removed, checked for rust, lubricated with grease and tested. At pick-up, a DIN setting tailored to your weight, height and experience is applied to reduce the risk of injury in falls and twists.
Hot-Air Boot Drying
Boots coming back from the slopes are never left damp. They are dried right through to the inner liner in our hot-air circulation dryers and handed to you dry and warm in the morning.
Two-Step Hygiene
Boots, helmets and rental clothing are disinfected with antibacterial and antifungal solutions after every guest, preventing odor and bacteria.
Advanced Structural Repair
Beyond routine waxing and edge work, we repair core shots from rock impacts, topsheet separation and blown-out edges using two-component structural epoxy, clamping and controlled pressing. We also bring delamination and body damage on skiers' own equipment back into service.
